The Strawbs - "Hero and Heroine" (1974)




Hero and Heroine es probablemante uno de los mejores discos de la banda inglesa The Strawbs, es un disco que fluye de principio a fin sin ningun corte malo que socabe la unidad del disco,

 Compuesto despues de la gira del anterior album que casi provoca la disolucion total del grupo
,Dave Cousins y Dave Lambert , los unicos que quedaron de la formacion original junto con los nuevos fichajes , John Hawken al organo ,Chas Cronk al bajo y Rod Coombes a la bateria. Se pusieron enseguida a grabar el album, un album alejado del folk que habia marcado los inicios del grupo y haciendo un disco mas progresivo y simfonico .



Las canciones son faciles de escuchar accesibles , pero con una profundidad subyacente que desmiente su aparente simplicidad.
